Grammar school `Svetozar Markovic` was founded in 1954 as the Second high mixed gymnasium. Its 61st anniversary it welcomes as the largest grammar school, one of the best schools in Serbia, proud of its students and teachers thanks to whose work and dedication it rightfully demands and expects the school status of national importance.

Each of our thousand of students is special, every single one is good, each one is ours! We are proud of their successes in competitions in natural and social sciences, languages, sports, and their daily efforts to be good people and students, their maturity, strength, will and enthusiasm which "feed" their professors.
